Cara Noyes

Registered Veterinary Technician

I have always had a strong interest in working with wildlife and companion animals since I was young. I went to Northern College and graduated from the Veterinary Technologist/Wildlife Custodian program in 2009. I joined the clinic in July 2013 and I’m interested the most in working with exotic animals and feline medicine.

My first pet was a black Labrador-cross named Chelsea. What I love about my job is being able to nurse our sick patients back to health. My favourite part about this clinic is the variety of cases that we see on a daily basis.

One fun fact about me is that I had an amazing opportunity to go to South Africa a few years ago. There, I learned how to safely trap and release hippopotamuses and water buffalo back into the wild, as well as proper husbandry for a wide range of the local wildlife!
